English made Men’s shoes (and boots) are generally made in fittings E, F, G and H and these can be classified simplistically as follows:

E = Narrow
F = Regular
G = Wide
H = Extra Wide

The bulk of our styles are made in F fitting, as statistics show that worldwide this is the most appropriate fitting for a majority of males, but we also offer a good selection of G fitting shoes.

The Description

An ode to design, craft and attention to detail, the Loake Stubbs is a hand-painted Derby Shoe that appears within our Artist Collection and celebrates the creativity and artistry that comes together at Loake.

Built on our new ‘Artist’ last shape, Stubbs is a handmade plain-tie shoe with a full leather lining, and a leather insole for added comfort.

Featuring a slick green Goodyear Welted distressed sole in leather & rubber, the true beauty of these shoes lies in the way they are finished. Each brush stroke of colour is carefully brushed by hand, layer by layer over a natural base until that perfect, tone is achieved, ensuring each and every pair is truly unique in its character, patina and antiquing.

Artist

Developed exclusively for ‘The Artist Collection’, the Loake Artist is a highly versatile last shape in a regular F-Fit, that offers a contemporary silhouette and features an elegant almond toe shape. First introduced for Autumn Winter 2020, Artist works well in a stylish range of Derby, Brogue Shoe and Boots options, for those who want a combination of contemporary design and traditional Loake craftsmanship.
