English made Men’s shoes (and boots) are generally made in fittings E, F, G and H and these can be classified simplistically as follows:

E = Narrow
F = Regular
G = Wide
H = Extra Wide

The bulk of our styles are made in F fitting, as statistics show that worldwide this is the most appropriate fitting for a majority of males, but we also offer a good selection of G fitting shoes.

The Description

The Loake ‘Sutherland’ is a classic brogue shoe, featuring a Goodyear welted rubber sole for comfort, durability and longevity. ‘Sutherland’ uses our ‘3625’ last for a classic English toe shape, in an F fitting. These shoes are designed and engineered in Kettering and made in our high-grade factory in India, using similar materials and finishing techniques as used in our Northamptonshire factory.

One of our older lasts it fits more generously due to a wide round toe box. Only found on high shine shoes it provides a very traditional & classic shape which is still in demand from our customers.

Brogue

No English gentleman’s wardrobe is complete without a pair of handcrafted Goodyear welted brogues. With punched holes (originally designed to allow water to drain from the shoe), choose from a wide selection of Leather or Rubber-soled options in Oxford or Derby constructions, in a vast array of colours and styles.
