English made Men’s shoes (and boots) are generally made in fittings E, F, G and H and these can be classified simplistically as follows:

E = Narrow
F = Regular
G = Wide
H = Extra Wide

The bulk of our styles are made in F fitting, as statistics show that worldwide this is the most appropriate fitting for a majority of males, but we also offer a good selection of G fitting shoes.

Our Cobra is a premium brogue Derby shoe, crafted from rich tan calf leather for a timeless look that effortlessly bridges smart and smart-casual occasions. Featuring our durable ‘Viper’ Goodyear welted rubber sole, it delivers exceptional grip, long-lasting durability, and the option of resoling, ensuring years of dependable wear. A padded tongue and soft padded lining provide exceptional comfort from the very first wear, offering a secure and supportive fit throughout the day.

Handmade in our high-grade factory in India, Cobra combines Loake’s renowned craftsmanship with classic brogue detailing, pairing effortlessly with tailored trousers, chinos, or denim for refined everyday style.
The Last

Viper

Developed for use with the Loake ‘Viper’ EVA sole, the Viper last features a classic English design of standard length, with a rounded toe shape. This is a G fitting last, and as such will offer more room within the shoe for customers with wider feet. Customers who normally wear F width styles may wish to consider a half size smaller with this last.

Brogue

No English gentleman’s wardrobe is complete without a pair of handcrafted Goodyear welted brogues. With punched holes (originally designed to allow water to drain from the shoe), choose from a wide selection of Leather or Rubber-soled options in Oxford or Derby constructions, in a vast array of colours and styles.
