IMPORTANT NOTICE

We are aware of a current series of scams on Facebook. These scams, claiming to offer clearance discounts are linking to fake websites that are mirroring our own website. These websites and offers are not legitimate, and you will not receive product, so please be careful. We’re currently working with Facebook and our Legal Team to resolve the issue.

Loake operate the following genuine websites:

We ask that you remain vigilant when clicking on any advertisement claiming to be Loake. To help you identify potential scams please look out for:

– The page name. The scam ads are typically posted on generic Facebook pages, such as ‘Warehouse Clearance Sale’. We will only ever advertise from our official page, ‘Loake Shoemakers’. Another way to confirm if an ad is official and from us is by visiting this page ‘Loake Shoemakers’, and scroll to a section created by Facebook for all pages called ‘Page Transparency’ – in this section it will show you any official ads that a page is running. If the ad isn’t showing on this area, it is not from us.

– The website address. If the page claims to be our own but you do not recognise the website address to be www.loake.com, loake.com or https://www.loakefactoryshop.co.uk then this is a scam site.

– A padlock icon in the URL. The scam websites are unsecured, meaning your personal information and card details are unsafe, and as such, the padlock will be shown as ‘open’. Our website will always show as secured, with ‘closed’ padlock icon.

– Another tell-tale sign is the price. These websites claim to have offers on shoes for significantly less than the costs for us to make them. This would not be a sustainable discount model for any business.

– If you do suspect that you have purchased from a scam website please contact your bank as a matter of urgency. As the scam websites are not secure, your card details may be compromised.
